BKMAMLAB presents its premium high-temperature magnetic stir bar (also referred to as a stirring bar, stirbar, or stirrer bar), engineered for the most demanding laboratory and industrial environments. Each stir bar features a robust PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) outer shell and a high-energy Samarium Cobalt (SmCo 2:17) magnetic core, delivering superior magnetic output and exceptional chemical resistance.
Designed to work seamlessly with any magnetic stirrer, magnetic stirrer magnet plate, or magnetic stirring plate, these stir bars ensure smooth, vortex-free agitation. Whether you are a chemist using a chemistry magnetic stirrer, a biologist working with sterile stir bars, or a food technician requiring magnetic stirring, our stir bars magnetic collection offers the perfect solution.

Note: While PTFE theoretically withstands 350°C, for magnetic stir bar chemistry applications, we recommend an operating temperature of ≤250°C to ensure maximum lifespan and safety.
Our stirring bars perform flawlessly across a wide thermal spectrum. At extreme lows of -100°C, the PTFE coating remains flexible and non-brittle, making it ideal for cryogenic reactions. At high temperatures (up to 350°C theoretical), the stir bar magnet retains its structural integrity. This makes them the top choice for any magnetic stir setup, from low-temp biochemistry to high-heat lab magnetic stirring.
The PTFE surface offers an ultra-low friction coefficient, ensuring highly efficient magnetic stirring. The non-stick property means the stirring magnetic bar does not adsorb samples or impurities, effectively preventing cross-contamination. This feature is crucial for sterile stir bars used in pharmaceutical and bioengineering sectors.
Unlike standard stir bars, our BKMAMLAB stirrer bars are chemically inert. They resist strong acids, strong bases, organic solvents, and even aqua regia. Furthermore, the material is resistant to atmospheric aging, ensuring that surface properties remain unchanged over time. This makes them the ultimate chemistry stirring bar for aggressive chemical environments.
Equipped with a high-performance SmCo magnet (density 8.4 g/cm³), this magnetic stirrer stir bar delivers powerful, stable torque. The magnetic core is wear-resistant and maintains its strength even after prolonged use, ensuring that your magnetic stirrer or magnetic mixer chemistry equipment operates efficiently without demagnetization.
Selecting the correct stir bar is crucial for optimal performance. Follow our guide below:
Golden Rule: The length of the stirring bar should not exceed 2/3 of the container's inner diameter.
Example: If you are using a beaker with a diameter of 25mm, choose a small stir bar (e.g., A7-15, 15mm length) to prevent it from hitting the walls. For a 50mm diameter container, a 30mm magnetic stir bar (A10-30) works best.
Low Viscosity Liquids: Choose micro stir bars or thin stirrer bars to create an efficient vortex.
High Viscosity Liquids: Opt for thicker stir bars magnetic (larger diameter) to provide higher torque and ensure complete mixing.
Turn on the power switch of your lab magnetic stirrer or magnetic stirring plate. The power indicator light will illuminate.
Center the beaker (or flask) containing your sample on the stirring plate. Gently drop the stir bar into the center of the container.
Turn the speed control knob of the magnetic stirrer slowly, increasing the RPM until the desired magnetic stirring speed is achieved. Always start at a low speed to prevent the stirbar from jumping or spinning out of control.
When adjusting the speed or heating temperature, always do so gradually. Sudden acceleration can cause the stir bar magnet to lose synchronization with the magnetic stirrer magnet or even crack the glassware.
Precautions: Due to the strong magnetic core, stir bars should be stored separately from other metallic objects or other magnetic stir bars to avoid impact damage caused by mutual attraction.
Our high-temperature magnetic stirring bars are widely used across multiple industries:
Chemical Reactions: Mixing reagents, solvents, and catalysts in chemistry magnetic stirrer setups.
Bioengineering: Cell culture, fermentation, and enzymatic assays requiring magnetic stirring.
Pharmaceuticals: Drug formulation, dissolution testing, and quality control processes.
Cosmetics: Emulsification, homogenization, and pigment dispersion.
Food Industry: Flavor blending, sauce preparation, and dairy processing.
From micro stir bars for small vials to large stirrer bars for industrial batches, BKMAMLAB provides the ultimate magnetic lab stirrer accessories.
A: Yes. Our stir bars are universally compatible with all standard magnetic stirrers, magnetic stirring plates, and lab magnetic stirrer units available on the market.
A: The PTFE material has a theoretical melting point of 350°C. However, for long-term stability and to prevent deformation, we strongly recommend operating at or below 250°C in practical lab magnetic stirring applications.
A: Thanks to the non-stick PTFE coating, simply rinse with water or a suitable solvent. For stubborn residues, use a soft brush. Avoid using abrasive tools to scratch the surface.
A: Yes, our range covers lengths from 10mm to 50mm, including micro stir bars and small stir bars. We also offer sterile packaging options upon request for aseptic environments.
